He started making money online with affiliate marketing, promoting sites such as AllAdvantage, WebSponsors or Amazon.com. Around 1998 he set up his own affiliate programs, which would go on to pay over $1 million to affiliates. He was then still in high school!
An important change in his life occurred when he attended CJU 2000, an event held by Commission Junction. He was able to speak with the owners of Jackpot.com and NeoPets.com. He also met Ola Edvardsson, one of the world’s top expert in affiliate marketing, and talked with him about his future projects. He realized that networking is crucial in all internet-based business.
Today Zac Johnson is recognized as one of the most important blogger in the world. His site, zacjohnson.com, enjoys 100,000 page views and over 35,000 unique visitors per month.
John Chow www.johnchow.com
John Chow started in the online world in April 1999 with a site dedicated to technology: The TechZone. It soon became one of the biggest hardware site. He then launched an advertising network, TTZMedia, and two short-lived sites: Laptop Gamers an Digital Grabers.
In 2000 he launched his personal blog, The Wired World of John Chow, which is now known as John Chow dot Com. Today he says that he is making more than $30,000 only with this blog, by placing ads and selling ads to advertisers.
John Chow is also famous for having been banned from the Google index for 3 years. During that period, he succeeded in growing his blog without the help of the search engine. Finally, in mid-2009, he was back into Google, after some exchanges with Matt Cutts, head of Google’s webspam team.
Jeremy “ShoeMoney” Schoemaker www.shoemoney.com
It all started for him in 2003 when he set up his own blog, ShoeMoney, and launched NextPimp, which became one of the biggest ringtone/mobile website. After that first success, he launched AuctionAds, an advertising network based on Ebay affiliation program. After 4 months, AuctionAds had 25,000 active publishers and generated over $2,000,000 per month.
In 2008, he launched 2 tools which aimed at helping webmasters: ShoeMoney Tools and ShoeMoneyX. ShoeMoney Tools offers useful tools for the Internet marketer, while ShoeMoneyX is a free course designed to teach the basics of Internet marketing. These sites were completed in 2009 with ShoeMoney System, a step-by-step guide to various Internet marketing techniques.
In 2010, he launched a free SEO report called… Free SEO Report! This utility generates SEO reports by entering the url of your website and your keywords. Webmasters can use these reports to improve their SEO and professionals can monetize them, because they are completely brandable.
ShoeMoney’s latest product to date is Link Control, a site that helps internet marketers in managing all their links in a single place, optimizing offer choices and automatically switch links based on EPC and conversion rates.
Nicknamed “Queen Of Affiliate Marketing”, she started online with a dating site, that earned her $5000 per month at the end of its first year! She has earned $436,797 in affiliate commissions in 2002 alone. She regularly speaks at big affiliate events such as Affiliate Summit, AdTech and Ticonderoga’s affiliate conventions.
She has set up a step by step plan to build an Internet marketing business, called The Super Affiliate Handbook.
