My One Year Experience With Human Proof Designs

In this article I will share my experience with a company named Human Proof Designs.

What Is Human Proof Designs?

Human Proof Designs [Affiliate Link] was founded by Dominic Wells, a Wealthy Affiliate member. This is a company that sells ready-made niche websites. Those sites are designed to make money from the start through affiliate marketing: visitors are redirected to a merchant site (most of the time it’s Amazon), and when they buy a product, the affiliate earns a commission.

But what sets HPD apart from other similar services is that each site they make is completely unique. It’s not just “turn-key sites” that often look the same and have all the same content. The design is unique, but also the articles, which are written by a team of professional writers.

Buying A Site From Human Proof Designs

You can pick a pre-made site or tell them to build a site from scratch on any topic you choose.

Let’s say you choose a pre-made site. First, you will look at their catalog of sites and choose one:

Human Proof Designs - List Of Pre-Made Sites
Human Proof Designs – List Of Pre-Made Sites

You can also subscribe to their “Early-Bird Notification List” to be notified when new sites are ready for purchase.

With each site comes a brief explanation of what the site is all about, how it is monetized (most of the time it is through Amazon) and why they choose that specific niche.

They also show a calculation of what kind of income you can expect for that site. This income is based on the amount of traffic the chosen keywords can bring, by evaluating the average position of the site on the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages).

As you can see, only one site can earn you a living. But they also say that this income is the maximum income you can expect (so expect to do less, especially if you’re a newbie) and that it will take one full year to reach that level.

What Exactly Do You Get When You Buy A Site From Human Proof Designs?

There are 2 types of sites you can choose from:

Human Proof Designs - Sites Packages
Human Proof Designs – Sites Packages

The Starter package has all you need to start earning some money. The Premium package provides you with 2X more content, a logo and social media accounts. They set up the site for you, and then they show you what to do after your site is online.

To summarize:

  • They do all the keywords researches
  • They write original and high quality articles
  • They design the site with a Premium WordPress theme
  • They search the best domain names and let you choose the one that suits you best
  • They make a logo (Premium package)
  • They set up social media accounts (Premium package)
  • They provide you with a complete training and tell you what to do once your site is online
  • They offer a support through email and a private Facebook group

Keyword Packs

Keyword packs are designed to build a niche site from scratch. They search hundreds of keywords and the best Amazon products for these keywords. Here is exactly what is included in a keyword pack:

Articles Packs

Human Proof Designs has a team of writers that can produce ready to use articles for any niche. Two packs are available:

You can view examples of articles by looking here and here.

Aged Sites

Human Proof Designs also sells sites that are online for at least 6 months. They already have traffic, so in theory they already earn money. The main benefit of buying an aged site is to bypass the “Google Sandbox” (the period when the site is not ranking well and so has almost zero traffic). The sandbox lasts generally from 3 to 6 months. You just have to build them some authority.

As these sites are ready immediately, they cost a lot more: $1497 for one site.

The good thing is that you can view the sites, as they are already online. You can view 3 examples here: Storing ToysGuitar Amp GuruLove Snorkeling

My Experience With Human Proof Designs

I decided to buy a site from Human Proof Designs. I will update this section regularly to show my experience with HPD and the results I’ve obtained.

01/22/2017: Buying the site

I’ve done it! I just bought my site. I took the Premium option. After some Paypal issues (I wasn’t redirected to Paypal after submitting the form), I contacted Dom who promptly responded to send directly the money via Paypal.

Received a mail from Brad saying I should be contacted in the next 24 hours to begin sorting out the domain name and the hosting.

Received a mail from Kamran telling me they are working on the content. It should be completed under 4 weeks. Tell me to choose a domain name (22 propositions).

Received a mail from Kamran: domain name registered. He also gave me instructions on how to install WordPress (I can choose to do it myself or they set up everything for me). I choose to install WordPress myself.

I created an account on Namecheap to register the domain name (it can be moved later on to the register I choose).

My site is ready! It took them 5 weeks to make the site, so a little longer than expected, but it’s fine.

All social media accounts have been configured. The site is ready to rock!

Got my first organic visit from Google! Also had my first keyword indexed in Google’s top 100 at rank 97.

Started link building with Rank Guardian (bought the Results package).

I have now 4 keywords ranking in the search engines. The higher one is in 59th position.

Ordered a Hoth Blitz 10 Package from The Hoth.

8 keywords are in Google’s Top 100.

I haven’t worked much on the site these past two months though I started building some backlinks. I now have 15 keywords in Google’s Top 100 (Highest position: 36) and 9 backlinks. The site receives 1-3 visitors a day. The DA (Domain Authority) of the site is 18.

I’ve filled Easy Azon with my Amazon Associates ID. As the website is slowly receiving some traffic, I hope to make a few sales!

The site has 73 keywords in Google’s Top 100. The highest position is #8. The site has 49 backlinks and 17 referring domains.

The site has 97 keywords in Google’s Top 100. The highest position is #13. The site has 129 backlinks and 39 referring domains. I start to comment more on other people’s blogs (Yes, I know I should have started doing this sooner!).

I just ordered a press release from Human Proof Designs. You can find more informations on their presse release service here: Press release. It should be live in about a week.

The press release has been published on 472 news sites (newspapers, industry news, financial news, regional and local news sites), including Google News. This resulted in 206 clicks on the site, and 11 clicks on my affiliate links, but no sale.

I added one new post to the site.

I added one new post.

I created an Hootsuite account to automatically post to my Facebook, Twitter and Google+ accounts. I add posts on a regular basis (about 1-2 per week).

I finally made my first sales! Someone ordered 8 items from my link. But what is funny is that none of the items are products I promote on the site. Thanks, Amazon cookie!

The site is really starting to take off, now that I add new posts regularly. 304 keywords are in Google’s Top 100 and the site has 110 backlinks (73 referring domains). Traffic is about 25 visitors per day. My domain rating in Ahrefs is 47 and my Url rating is 25.

Second sale! 3 items have been ordered.

I bought 2 extra domain names and made them point to my main url. I will see if it makes the keywords related to these domains move up in the search results.

The site receives about 20 visitors a day. My main keyword is in position #20 in Google and #6 in Bing.

Below you fill find the Ahrefs data as of 01/01/2018 and my Amazon sales for december 2017:

Ahrefs Data as of 01-01-2018
Ahrefs Data as of 01-01-2018
Amazon Sales for December 2017
Amazon Sales for December 2017

The site receives about 30 visitors a day. My main keyword is in position #13 in Google and #20 in Bing, but I’m also ranking for larger volume keywords in position 10-20.

Below you fill find the Ahrefs data as of 02/18/2018. You can see a drop in DR: it’s because Ahrefs has changed the way it calculates that metric. You can also see a drop in  the number of backlinks and in Ahrefs’ rank. It’s simply because I don’t make any backlinks: I only focus on writing more content.

Nevertheless, I’ve more than doubled my number of keywords and my organic traffic and traffic value have also made a significant rise.

I don’t show my Amazon sales for january: there was none!

This sounds really neat, I haven’t heard of this before, its a great idea. So you buy the site and make a profit, but what kind of work do you have to put into it? Advertising on social media I guess. Do you write your own content or buy that as well?

You have nothing to do on the site, everything is created for you. Your job begins afterwards: you still have to promote your site and build links to it. But HPD guides you through the whole process, they tell you what to do and when to do it.

Hey, thx for your great review. I have never heard about something like that. It just sounds too good to be true. I am very excited about your experiences. But how does it work? How can they create a website that fast and get so much traffic on it in just 4 weeks?

They build the site in 4 weeks, but it takes time to bring traffic to it, from 3 to 6 months. The full potential of the site is reached within 1 year. What is interesting with HPD is that everything is set up to bring traffic, from design to content creation. I’m still at the beginning of my experience, but I really look forward to seeing my site (and my income) grow during the next 12 months!

I’ve heard about Dominic Wells and his company Human Proof Designs and I have to admit it does look rather appealing as they do all hard work for you in giving you a website that is already to go.

I imagine that you are going to get ongoing support after you have got the website, so in theory it should make it a lot easier to succeed if I’m not correct.

I have bookmarked your site so I can see how your progress is going and I wish you all the best with it, thanks for your post.

    Hello David
I`d really like to know how your site from HPD is going on, you started so well, informing us what you were doing then stopped.

The site is going well, though I haven’t much worked on it these 2 past months. I started to receive some traffic, about 1-2 visit a day, and I have 15 keywords in Google Top 100. I will publish a more detailed update soon. Thanks for your comment!

I also purchased a Niche Site Starter Package today, I’ll keep track of all the steps. 1-2 visits are kind of low. Hopefully, I can get a better result in 6 months.

I haven’t worked much on my site these past 3 months, that’s why I have not much traffic I think. My goal is to boost the site’s traffic by creating quality backlinks and guest posting. I hope you will succeed with your HPD site, keep me informed!

I’m also considering to purchase a site from them. Have you made any income for the past 7 months since the site was up? Thanks for sharing.

No income yet, but I see that the traffic is slowly coming in, so I hope to make my first commission soon… I think their sites are worth the price though, they are very well designed and the niche and keywords are very cleverly chosen. Don’t hesitate to tell me if you buy one, good luck!

I think you should work on your site at least 1 hour a day to start seeing some results. Link building is a process that takes time! Good luck!

Well done, I`m sure you made a wise decision buying a site from HPD, after struggling to make sales with sites I built in the past, I ordered a site from HPD, my site is almost same age with yours(bought mine in February 2017)
HPD did a brilliant job, unfortunately EasyAzon did not work for me, it made my site freeze all the time so I removed it.
For the first time, I`m making sales online since Dom built me the site, having said that, I still have to put in the work.Would I advice anyone to buy a site from HPD? absolutely, a wise decision I made in a long time.

      December 3, 2017 1:28 pm

Yes, I know now that HPD sites work! My only regret is to not have put more work into the site earlier, but now that I’ve understand that, I know I’m on the right track! Good luck with your site and keep me informed of your successes!

I bought a premiium site back on the 20th January 2018. Eight weeks later and I still don’t have my completed site despite numerous back and forth emails to their support desk.

Can’t say I am that impressed with the process. I bought a ready made site from their main competitor a week later and it’s been up and running and getting visitors already.

    • David

      March 12, 2018 3:23 pm

It’s an issue I had with them at the beginning, but they finally delivered the site with a little delay… Like you I bought my site in January and it was online at the beginning of March. I think sometimes they get overwhelmed by the amount of work… But one thing I like with them is that they always respond very quickly to emails and problems are solved generally very quickly. Nothing is perfect… But they are serious guys.

        March 14, 2018 11:47 am

Just a follow on from my post. I sent an email direct to the sales team rather than go through the support desk ( which I suspect is not in UK ). Yesterday my site was fully completed. So I am about a year behind your site and it will be interesting to see how long before I start getting traffic and sales. Hopefully not too long.

It’s a site promoting floor mops, yes I know not a sexy subject and possibly the commissions for a mop from Amazon might be on the low side but hopefully in time by adding extra content and backlinks the volume in sales will compensate.

I have to say though that the site looks really good now it’s finished. It’s well thought out and has a good navigation throughout. Now the hard work begins.

As I can see, your site is very well-designed and looks promising! I would recommend you to start adding content to your site right away and not to wait 6 months like me… Don’t hesitate to let me know about your progress with your site. I will also keep my post updated with mine. Good luck!

I purchased a ready made site from HPD in January and the site was delivered in about 4 weeks, then the ebook and some content was added afterwards. Dom and his team has been very supportive with me and my questions. I’m working on backlinks and more content as well as seeking out fellow bloggers to share ideas with, which will take time to rank before the sales begin. Its a slow process, and one that is hard to keep positive when your working on your site and not seeing any results yet.

    Hi David,

Your progress is very impressive and inspirational! I think the thing that most people struggle with is being able to stick with it for that long with seeing many changes. I have a question:

Are there any other mandatory expenses other than purchasing the site? If so what are they?

I ask as the current price for a ‘Basic’ pack is $798 which is a lot of money

      April 20, 2018 8:21 am

Hi Nathan, thanks for stopping by. If you purchase a site from HPD, you must have a web hosting service to install the site on. There’s a domain name that come with the site, so you will have to open an account with a registrar, so that the domain name will be transferred to you. I hope this will help. Don’t hesitate to ask them any question you want, they answer very fast. I know it’s a lot of money, but I don’t regret my purchase since their sites are very professional and the content they write is of very good quality too. Good luck!

Following on from an earlier comment. I purchased my site on Jan 20th 2018 and yesterday 21st. Dec. 2018 I got my very first sale and commission of $1.93. I had to reapply to Amazon as my first 180 days passed without a sale. Also I had to change all my links to my new affiliate membership as they wouldn’t allow me to continue with the previous one.

So to anyone thinking of becomming an Amazon affiliate through the purchase of one of these sites. Please be aware it’s not a purchase, set & forget and wait for the money to roll in. It takes time, effort and quite a lot of patience. Hopefully now I have my first sale I can get two more to satisfy Amazon’s rule of 3 sales in 180 days of applying and press on and keep adding content and links to my site.
